Hi, my name is Liam Goyal and I am an incoming senior at Saint Ignatius College Prep. I founded Notes4U after my grandma had a severe language-impairing stroke, hindering my ability to communicate with her. When I played guitar for her, however, I was finally able to connect with her and saw her cognitive function visibly improve. I hope to bring this same connection to countless other elderly patients.

Hi! I’m Sophia and I am an incoming junior at Hinsdale Central. It is an honor to have the role of Vice President at Notes4U and continue visiting our local memory care centers with my classmates. People say that laughter is the best medicine, but I would argue that nothing gets the brain going like music. Music has always been a part of my life, from doing musical theater when I was young, to growing up in a music-filled house, to singing and playing piano like I do now. It is something that brings me unexplainable joy, especially when sharing it with others. I hope to keep sharing our music with the residents so that we can reach as many people as possible.
